What is The Red Club?

Welcome to The Red Club Threadworks and Bindery, a studio that uses traditional methods to create modern innovations . This space is a creative hub where artistic expression meets craftsmanship.
I pride myself on a unique approach to creating and presenting art, while also honoring its origins, history, and heritage. Here, I hope you'll discover the story behind what I make, how I make it, and why I want to share.
Every shared work is a reflection of my lifelong artistic journey. By sharing my process, pieces, and growth, I hope to help shepherd others along their respective journeys--and would love to craft something uniquely for you. From blank journals, to hand-dyed fabric, to careful sashiko stitching, everything made at The Red Club is a conversation.
So, let's make some art.
Who am I?

On my best days, I'm a bookbinder, paper maker, and sashiko artist in the greater Washington, DC area specializing in handmade one-of-a-kind pieces.
Drawing on a life well lived, and experience in art history, card magic, and a Masters in capitalism, I collect stories from around the world. I conspire with those I find interesting and unique. I now use those experiences to create art.
Combining traditional techniques with modern, small-batch sensibilities, I strive to create truly unique, utilitarian pieces of art.

It would be a joy to offer you private or group lessons. I am currently open for commissions.
